Greece: 2022 Draft Budget to Be Submitted to Parliament

ATHENS — The 2022 draft budget is expected to be submitted to the Parliament on Monday. The draft budget will include the tax reliefs as well as measures to strengthen the households as announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF).

The draft budget will include a growth forecast of 6.1 percent, exceeding the initial estimates for the course of the Greek economy. The final text of the 2022 budget is to be submitted to Parliament at the end of November.

The draft budget will be presented at the cabinet meeting to be held at 11 am and then will be submitted to the Parliament as provided by the relevant procedure.

The cabinet meeting, that will be held via teleconference, will focus on the economy and its prospects.
