Greece: 13 Positive for COVID-19 in 1,460 Free Rapid Tests on Thursday

ATHENS — The National Public Health Organisation (NPHO) performed free drive-through rapid antigen tests on Thursday, December 17.

In total, 13 people tested positive out of 1,460 rapid tests conducted, corresponding to 0.89 pct. The positive results of the tests concern six men and seven women.

Greece launched a nationwide lockdown on Nov. 7 that will remain in effect for two months. Public health officials have issued daily appeals for people to remain cautious over the Christmas holidays, as hospitals in high-infection areas remain close to capacity.
