Georgiadis: Up to Each of Us to Persuade Those Hesitating to Get Vaccinated

ATHENS — Οn his part, Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said that it was up to each individual to participate in a nationwide effort to persuade those hesitating to get vaccinated and reach the number of vaccinations needed within the summer to avoid a new wave of the pandemic.

As Georgiadis said, the various venues where people gather in large numbers will be divided into two categories:

1. 'Immune-only' areas that are only open to people who have completing their vaccination at least 14 days earlier or have recovered from a Covid-19 infection within the last six months.

2. 'Mixed' areas that allow both people with immunity through vaccination or infection and those that have a negative result in a PCR or rapid test taken in the last 48 hours.

The minister said it was up to owners of businesses to decide whether their venue will accept immune-only customers or be mixed.

All venues must be declared as either 'immune-only' or 'mixed' by July 15, at a special platform, and will have to display a special sign to indicate which category they belong to at the entrance.
