Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATEHNS — "Despite the initially extremely ominous forecasts of many foreign institutes for the course of the economy in 2020, the Greek economy is holding up well," Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Friday, commenting on the forecasts of the Centre of Planning and Economic Research (KEPE) on the short-term perspectives of real Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
"Unless there is an emergency – due to the coronavirus – that will change this course, which we can not know today, the KEPE forecast agrees with the government that the recession will be around 8 pct in 2020," he said and added:
"We believe that in the end the Greek people will be able to stay on their feet amid this terrible pandemic. We proceed with diligence and determination in the implementation of the measures we have decided."
