Georgiadis: Govt Goal Is to Transform Thessaloniki into an Innovation Hub

ATHENS — The transformation of Thessaloniki into a centre of innovation and high technology is the goal of the government, Minister of Development and Investments Adonis Georgiadis said on Thursday, after the meeting he had with Deputy Minister of Macedonia and Thrace Theodoros Karaoglou.

Karaoglou praised Georgiadis' contribution to the creation of the 4th Generation Technology Park in Thessaloniki.

On his part, Georgiadis stressed: "We are taking another step in the government's grand plan to turn Thessaloniki into a centre for innovation, into a high-tech centre. To take advantage of the very good human resources that the city and its universities have in order for Greece and Thessaloniki to transition to the next era."
