Georgiadis: All Measures that Are Fiscally Possible Will Be Taken

ATHENS – "All measures that are fiscally possible will be taken," stated Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis in an interview with SKAI TV on Tuesday.

Asked about the possibility of a reduction in VAT, the minister said that a new package of measures for restaurants and tourism will be announced in the next days, adding: "If we see that the coronavirus cases are not increasing then we may proceed with a faster opening of restaurants. We have a plan and adopt proposals from the market, we are aware of the problem and we, as a government, are doing what is right."

Georgiadis also said that the July 1 target for tourism is attainable, while adding that "success will depend on international alliances."
