George Stephanopoulos among Upcoming Jeopardy! Guest Hosts

LOS ANGELES – Jeopardy! on April 21 announced new guest hosts to close out season 37 of the iconic game show. Among the upcoming guest hosts is Greek-American George Stephanopoulos, ABC’s Good Morning America Co-Anchor who is scheduled for July 12-16, according to the Jeopardy! website.

Stephanopoulos also anchors This Week with George Stephanopoulos. Over the course of his career, Stephanopoulos has conducted interviews with a wide range of subjects garnering him three Emmys, a DuPont, three Murrows, and two Cronkite Awards. Prior to joining ABC News, he served in the Clinton administration as the Senior Advisor to the President for Policy and Strategy, and wrote All Too Human, a No. 1 New York Times bestseller. Stephanopoulos and his wife Ali Wentworth's production company, BedBy8, develops television and film projects across a wide range of subjects.

Also scheduled to guest host are LeVar Burton, Robin Roberts, David Faber, and Joe Buck. Fans campaigned vigorously on social media for actor and former host of the beloved PBS children’s program Reading Rainbow LeVar Burton to guest host the show. Previous guest hosts who have stepped in following the death of long-time host Alex Trebek included Ken Jennings, Katie Couric, Aaron Rodgers, and Anderson Cooper.

Jeopardy! also noted on its website that starting the week of March 8, as a part of each guest host’s appearance, Jeopardy! will make a contribution to the charity of the guest host’s choice. The amount will match the cumulative winnings of all contestants who compete during the guest host’s tenure.
