ATHENS — Μovement for Change (KINAL) leader Fofi Gennimata on Monday tabled a question in parliament addressed to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Gennimata in her question says that "the crisis in the Greek econony is taking dangerous dimensions" while "the responsible ministers see a 16 pct recession for Q2 and 8 pct for 2020".
She said that undoubtely the pandemic worsened the conditions but "growth in Greece was already frail and the problems in the budget execution existing".
In any case, she said "in such a crisis the government should intervene with drastic, bold and targetted measures. The future can't be built on ruins. KINAL had proposed an interim programme in order for the society to remain standing and the economy alive. Unfortunately, the government chose another way with insufficient measures and huge delays in decision making, mostly regarding their implementation," she said.
