Free Entrance to All Greek Museums on Wednesday

All museums throughout the country will welcome the public on Wednesday with free admission and a series of events to celebrate International Museum Day.

Tours, educational programmes, screening, workshops, digital presentations, music and exhibitions are some of the events offered to the visitors free of charge on the occasion of International Museum Day on May 18.

Additionally, every year the Greek department of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) chooses to honour one or more Greek museums where the main celebration is held. This year the honoured museum is the Museum of Contemporary Art-MOMus in Thessaloniki. The main event will be held at MOMus on Saturday at 19:30.

The full programme of the events is available on the website of the Greek Department of ICOM.
