Fotia Taverna in Manchester, NH Surprised Even An Undercover Critic

The “Our Gourmet” unnamed food critic for the Manchester, NH Union-Leader got a little suspicious that someone knew they were coming to the Fotia Taverna in Manchester NH because the food and service were too good.

The critic tried Greek food and took his dad to try out other dishes, but by the time they were done the taverna got near perfect scores for the menu and the service, declared impeccable and professional.

“When you have an issue with your meal, that’s often when you see the true character of a restaurant. We asked for another loaf, the server apologized profusely, and we had a new, fresh loaf within minutes,” the review said.

That was over bread not so fresh and the review said the food was so good they just kept ordering more. “It was worth the wait,” the critic said.

“When I am ‘under cover’ dining out for this column, every once in a great while I start to get paranoid.” Not any more.

Fotia Taverna is named for the myth of Prometheus who stole fire from the ancient gods and gave it to humanity.
