Former SYRIZA Deputies Form New Parliamentary Group, Led by Charitsis

ATHENS – The 11 deputies who resigned from main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance formed a new parliamentary group on Tuesday.

The formal name of the new group will be announced on Monday (December 4).

At their meeting on Tuesday, they decided on a series of public events relating to a comprehensive plan for a progressive, ecological, left alternative proposal for Greece.

Following is the list of names of the 11 (in alphabetical order), with their roles in parentheses:

– Alexis Charitsis (president of group)

– Theano Fotiou

– Zeibek Hussein

– Nassos Iliopoulos (parliamentary spokesperson)

– Ferhat Ozgur

– Peti Perka (secretary)

– Euclid Tsakalotos (parliamentary spokesperson)
