Former Greek Parliament President Filippos Petsalnikos Dies

ATHENS – Former parliament president Filippos Petsalnikos died on Friday, at the age of 70.

Petsalnikos was a lawyer and politician elected as a PASOK MP in Kastoria. He was appointed a minister in several posts in the period 1985-2012.

The state will pay for his funeral, following a proposal made by Parliament President Kostas Tassoulas and the decisions of Finance Minister Christos Staikouras and Interior Minister Takis Theodorikakos.
