ATHENS -- The Mediterranean Yacht Show 2021 that was scheduled to be held at the port of Nafplio between April 22 and 25 was cancelled, following a decision by the Greek Sea Tourism Association in cooperation with the municipality of Nafplio.

Despite the international yachting community's huge interest in the annual MEDYS show, the cancellation was considered imperative for the protection of all those involved with its organisation, an announcement said on Monday.

The leasing of a superyacht constitutes one of the safest ways of recreation as it offers the opportunity to relax in a totally controlled and protected environment, where all the health and sanitation protocols are strictly observed, the association said in its announcement.
