Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will leave for Albania on Monday, May 23 to meet with members of the Greek national minority from Himarra and the Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and all Albania Anastasios, according to a foreign ministry’s statement.
The foreign minister will meet with the Albanian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Olta Xhaçka, followed by extended talks. Joint statements to the press will be made around 12:00 (local time).
The foreign minister will then be received by the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama. A private meeting and then a working lunch will be held.
Discussions will focus on issues of bilateral, European and regional interest, with emphasis on the course of Greek-Albanian relations in all areas, the preparation of the Summit of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), the developments in Ukraine after the Russian invasion, Eastern Mediterranean region and the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
