FM Dendias in Egypt; Meets with Egyptian President

CAIRO — President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi received earlier on Thursday visiting Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias. The strong bonds between Greece and Egypt and the further strengthening of the cooperation between the two countries dominated the talks according to a Greek Foreign Ministry post on twitter.

Afterwards, Dendias will meet with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukri with whom they will discuss issues of bilateral and regional interest with focus on the delimitation of the maritime zones, the developments in Libya and in the wider region of eastern Mediterranean, said a Foreign Ministry announcement.



ATHENS - "There is no doubt that mistakes were made, there was a coordination problem, it is clear that we have not managed to reach the level of coordination that we want in order to deal with such phenomena adequately," government spokersperson Yiannis Oikonomou said in an interview with ANT1 TV on Wednesday.
