FM Dendias Attends UN High Security Council Discussion Celebrating End of World War II

ATHENS – Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias on Friday took part in the UN High Security Council video conference held by the current Estonian presidency of the Council for the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II on European soil.

He emphasized Greece's continued support for cooperation between the United Nations and the EU in promoting stability, based on International Law and the Charter of the United Nations, and said that the latter explicitly prohibits the threat of force.

ATHENS - A deadly earthquake in Turkey, a deadly train collision in Greece and both Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan facing tough re-election challenges in May elections has brought a caesura in tensions - for now.
