Fire in Pyrgos Area Under Control

PYRGOS, Greece — A fire that broke out in the Kyani Akti area of Pyrgos, in SW Greece, on Sunday was under control, firefighters said.

The fire began at a forested area, and it was managed with firefighters on the ground with help from 2 water-dropping airplanes.
