Fire in Eleonas Refugee Facility under Control

ATHENS – A fire that broke out early Wednesday at the refugee housing facility in Eleonas, Attica, was now under control, the fire brigade said.

Three containers were completely incinerated, along with half of a fourth container, while the strong heat also ignited a fabrics warehouse outside the perimeter of the facility, which was also half burned down.

A 12-year old child was transferred to hospital with respiratory problems.
