ATHENS – Greece will succeed in 2022, Finance Christos Staikouras stressed on Wednesday during the general assembly of the Panhellenic Federation of Hoteliers, noting that this is recognised by the European Commission, which predicts 3.5 pct growth for Greece, while the finance ministry has made a more conservative estimate of 3 pct growth in 2022.
Staikouras also referred to a spike in investments and exports. Addressing the country’s hoteliers, Staikouras pointed out, among other things, that the ministry responsible gave 3 billion euros in aid to the industry to deal with the pandemic.
