ATHENS – On Saturday, November 30, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) Christmas World came to life in a—literally—dazzling show!
Thousands of Christmas lights twinkled on trees along the Canal, lavishly decorated tall Christmas trees at the Agora were revealed in all their glory, and the light installations in the Stavros Niarchos Park playfully interacted with visitors. The Ice Rink once again came alive as the first skaters glided on fresh ice to the sounds of the Greek National Opera’s Children Choir. And of course, Christmas tunes accompanied the water shows of the Canal’s Dancing Fountains!
The celebration culminated with the traditional party at the Agora. This year we hit the ground dancing with soul queen Idra Kayne as her live Christmas-themed concert sets the festive tone.
