‘Fam Trip’ for American Event Planners Interested in High-End Events in Greece

ATHENS – A highly successful familiarization trip (Fam Trip) was organized in Greece in April by the Greek event management company Darling Dear for a group of world-renowned and award-winning American event planners. The objective of the Fam Trip was to showcase Greece’s potential as a premier destination for high-end events, as well as the potential for future cooperation.

In April, executives of Rafanelli Events, Michelle Rago Destinations, and Roey Yohai Studios visited Greece. The first two companies design and produce high-end events, while the third one has been voted as one of the world’s leading wedding and event photographers. It is worth noting that these top three companies have yet to include Greece in their portfolio of proposed destinations in Europe.

The visit was organized by Darling Dear with the aim of putting Greece on the map of destinations chosen by the top organizers for every corporate and social event.

The Fam Trip was organized in collaboration with Aegean Airlines, Kyvernitis Travel, Tours4all, Cocoon Suites in Santorini, Angsana Corfu Hotel & Spa, Poseidonion Grand Hotel in Spetses, Hotel Grande Bretagne and King George Hotel in Athens, and Sigalas winery in Santorini.

The team was welcomed by Neni Karastamati and Katerina Korompli, who accompanied their colleagues in Santorini, Corfu, Spetses, and Athens. Besides visits to some of the most special venues and luxurious hotels, the program also included unique Greek cultural and culinary experiences.

The visitors spoke warmly about their experience, with a particular interest in the history and culture of Greece, the unique landscapes, and the professionalism and creativity of Darling Dear and their network of partners.

“The Fam Trip was an incredible experience,” said Bryan Rafanelli. “I have met a country with huge potential, ready to welcome world-class events. The people of Darling Dear are excellent professionals with deep knowledge of the subject and I am sure that together we can design and implement unique events.”

It should be noted that Rafanelli has been voted one of the best event planners in the world and has designed and produced some of the most exclusive and high-profile events in the United States, including many for Presidents Clinton, Obama, and Biden at the White House, including Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.

The success of the visit organized by the Darling Dear team is a good sign for the future of the Greek event industry, since a large and very important part of the international market today perceives Greece as a top destination for high-quality events.

Neni Karastamati, Katerina Koromplli, and Vassilis Rouvas are the soul and mind of Darling Dear. With innovative, inspired ideas and over 20 years of experience in the industry, the company plans and implements prestigious events in Greece and abroad.
