EU Official: There Must Be No Other Moria; All Migrants and Refugees Have Human Rights

BRUSSELS — Moria no longer exists and there must be no more Morias or other camps like Moria," noted European Commisssioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson, speaking on Thursday to the European Parliament.

She said that there is a need for appropriate reception facilitites, effective and fair entry procedures, while adding the package to be unveiled next week will include a clear prospect for children.

At the same time, Johansson noted that not all migrants are entitled to remain in EU: "There are some that must go back but everyone has human dignity and human rights."

Concluding, Johansson pointed out the need for Europe to join forces and protect the right to asylum, whenever this right is threatened.
