Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – “Mother I’m going… to Vamvakou” is the title of the next episode of the show +people (Greek: +άνθρωποι). The Greek Public Television show, headed by journalist Yiannis Darras, will visit Parnon and the people who decided to change their lives by reviving a deserted village.
The show presents the Vamvakou Revival project, which is implemented by the Vamvakou Revival team, at the initiative and with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
Anargyros, Eleni, Haris, Tasos and the other members of the team talk about life in the village, the contact with nature, the challenges and their future plans.
SNF Chief Programs & Strategic Initiatives Officer, Stelios Vassilakis, describes the vision behind this major venture, which is part of the broader Laconia Initiative.
