ELTA Marks Green Transition with New Programme

ATHENS – With the “Project Green” plan, ELTA marks the start of the group’s transition toward applying the “ESG” criteria (relating to the environment, society and corporate governance), according to an announcement on Wednesday.

This involved setting specific targets for reducing ELTA’s environmental footprint in all its operations, in order reduce ELTA CO2 emissions by at least 40 pct over all its business activity by 2030.

For the first time, ELTA underlined, sustainable development is integrated into the group’s priorities and is reflected in a transparent manner.

The preparation of the first Sustainability Report of the company is in progress, in which its performance for the year 2021 is recorded. This will be the reference year for all future improvement actions.

The process of transformation, however, will not stop there. It extends to immediate initiatives that aim to reduce the energy and environmental footprint of ELTA.
