Elpidophoros Issues Legal Notice to Ethnikos Kirix

On Friday, July 26, 2024, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America sent a legal notice to the offices of Ethnikos Kirix in Athens. He claims that we did not accurately portray the March 2024 legal notice he issued to Mr. Sotiris Tzoumas, owner of the ecclesiastical news agency Exapsalmos.gr.

Archbishop Elpidophoros demands a retraction of our story and threatens legal action if we do not comply. While he is within his rights to make such a demand, he is mistaken if he believes that such measures will intimidate us into leaving the Greek-American community uninformed.
