Ecumenical Patriarchate Announces New Members of the Holy Synod

CONSTANTINOPLE – The Ecumenical Patriarchate announced the hierarchs who will serve on the Holy Synod for the Synodic period of September 1, 2021 through February 28, 2022.

The Synodal Hierarchs for the new Synodic period are the following:

1. Geron Emmanuel of Chalcedon

2. Geron Dimitrios of the Princes’ Islands

3. Dimitrios of Metron and Athyron

4. Alexios of Atlanta

5. Joseph of Proikonnisos

6. Meliton of Philadelphia

7. Seraphim οf Sevastia

8. Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain

9. Gennadios of Sassimon

10. Kyrillos of Krini

11. Joseph of Buenos Aires

12. Amfilochios of Adrianoupolis

The Holy Synod is convened once a month, presided by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
