Ecumenical Patriarch to Visit Athens, November 20-25

CONSTANTINOPLE – Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s scheduled visit to Athens on November 20-25 will be carried out as planned, but his visit to Thessaloniki and Mt. Athos are postponed due to the worsening coronavirus pandemic, the Patriarchate announced on Saturday.

In Athens, Bartholomew will attend several honorary events that will be held on occasion of the 30th anniversary of his ascension to the Patriarchal Throne.
