Earthquake Measuring 4.0 Richter Shakes Pyrgos, Ilia

ATHENS — An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale shook the city of Pyrgos and other areas in Ilia on Thursday at 11:50.

According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the earthquake's epicentre was nine kilometres east-southeast of Pyrgos, with a focal depth of 26 km.

The EuroMediterranean Seismological Centre measured the quake at 3.9 Richter, with an epicentre 10 km east of Pyrgos.
