Dr. Albert Bourla among Concordia Leadership Awardees

September 1, 2024

The Concordia Leadership Council is proud to announce the recipients of the 2024 Leadership Award: Darren Walker, President of the Ford Foundation, for the nonprofit sector; Dr. Albert Bourla, Chairman and CEO of Pfizer, for the private sector; and H.E. Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of NATO, for the public sector. The three recipients will be formally recognized for their exceptional leadership September 23-25 at the Concordia Leadership Council Annual Summit, the leading public-private sector forum alongside the official opening of the UN General Assembly.

The Concordia Leadership Award recognizes global leaders within the public, private, and nonprofit sectors who inspire others through their ability to turn vision into impact.

Each year the Concordia Leadership Council presents three leaders each with an award for their remarkable achievements. Awardees are nominated by Concordia’s Board of Directors, Leadership Council, Advisory Council, and Staff. The ten-member Leadership Award Committee and annual selection process is chaired by Anita McBride, Concordia Leadership Council Member and Former Assistant to President George W. Bush and Chief of Staff to First Lady Laura Bush. All Nominees are evaluated by the Leadership Award Committee and the three recipients are selected by blind vote from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors each year.
The invitation reads: “Please join us in congratulating Mr. Darren Walker, Dr. Albert Bourla, and H.E. Jens Stoltenberg and in hearing their remarks next month at the Annual Summit. To participate in the 2024 Annual Summit…become a Global Patron Member.”

Participants will receive an organizational pass package, the opportunity to host a roundtable, access to the Members’ Lounge and the Concordia Connect networking service, invitations to private receptions, and additional year-round membership benefits. For pricing and to express your interest and see the full list of benefits, email: [email protected].
