OTTAWA, Canada – The Daughters of Penelope (DOP) Ottawa Euphrosyne Chapter 292 and the AHEPA Ottawa Chapter CJ5, presented two AHEPA Family Scholarships and the Siatras Family Scholarship to well deserving students at the Hellenic Community of Ottawa on November 6.
Congratulations to Adoni Vassilyadi, Alexia Pantieras and Damen Tsotroudis. Presenting the scholarships were AHEPA Ottawa Chapter President Vasilios (Bill) Sioulas, District 23 Maids of Athena (MOA) Advisor Cathy Pantieras, DOP Ottawa Chapter President Jenny Papadopoulos, and DOP Ottawa Chapter Treasurer Irene Aimoniotis. Each of the scholarships awarded was $1,000. To date, they have distributed over $40,000 in scholarships.
Ottawa DOP thanked everyone for supporting their scholarship program as well as all the students who applied and encouraging students to reapply for future scholarships.

Earlier, the Ottawa DOP also participated in the DOP Charity Walk raising funds benefitting the DOP Charitable Foundation and chapter charities to celebrate the DOP’s 93rd Anniversary, celebrating the number ‘93’ with a 9:30 AM start, nine participants (including three Maids of Athena) and at least 9,300 steps walked.
Also, the Ottawa DOP participated in the annual Cleaning the Capital campaign keeping Ottawa clean and green by collecting six bags of litter at Ottawa’s Brewer Park. The Ottawa DOP thanks and appreciates everyone for their valued ongoing participation and support for all their activities and events.
