Deputy Min of Labor meets with first woman to lead Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry

ATHENS – Deputy Labor and Social Affairs Minister Maria Syregela met with the new head of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EVEA), Sophia Kounenaki-Efraimoglou to congratulate her for becoming the first woman to hold the presidency of the chamber, on Monday.

Syregela, who is responsible for issues of demographic and family policy and equality of the sexes, discussed the ministry’s actions to support women in the work force and in businesses. In addition, a memorandum of collaboration is in the works that will incorporate EVEA in the Innovation Center for Women, to support female entrepreneurs.
