Dendias Meets with Russian FM Lavrov

ATHENS — Talks between Greek and the Russian delegations, led by the foreign ministers of both countries, were in progress at the foreign ministry in Athens on Monday.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias met in private with his visiting Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

"In our meeting we reaffirmed the historic bonds between Russian and Greece and we discussed the strengthening of our relations and our cooperation," Dendias said in a post on twitter.

The two foreign ministers will sign a "Joint Memorandum for conducting Greek-Russian History Year 2021".
