Dendias in Brussels for EU Foreign Ministers’ Meeting

BRUSSELS — Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias is to participate in the EU foreign ministers council that is taking place in Brussels on Monday. The Western Balkans and transatlantic relations are on the meeting's agenda.

The ministers are expected to also focus on health ahead of the imminent international conference on health, which will take place on May 21 in Rome, as well as on relations with Russia.

Additionally, they will discuss conditions in Afghanistan following the announcement of the withdrawal of US troops, the cancelled elections in Palestine, the worrying situation in Lebanon and the situation in the Sahel.

The US special envoy for climate John Kerry will participate online for an exchange of views on climate issues.

A press conference is scheduled to be held after 17:30 (Athens time)
