Dendias: Greece Is Not Afraid of the Dialogue

ATHENS — "Greece is not afraid of the dialogue, on the contrary, it always supports the constructive dialogue based on the fundamental principles as the International Law" Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias underlined in an interview with NEA newspaper on Saturday.

He said that Greece has stable positions adding that "We believe we have the right on our side and we have nothing to be afraid of.

Dendias reiterated that his meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will be held "if the appropriate conditions exist, noting that "the climate has improved, even partially, in order to allow the high-level meetings" but clarified that if the provocations restart then this climate may reverse.

Referring to the imminent European Council meeting where the EU-Turkey relations will be discussed, Dendias said that "it is neither the beginning nor the end for these relations. Turkey's issue will remain on the table.
