Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
WASHINGTON, DC – The Hellenic Society Prometheus has organized a virtual celebration of the Bicentennial of the Greek War of Independence on Sunday, March 28, 4 PM EDT, under the auspices of the Committee Greece 2021 and co-sponsored by Greek-American organizations in the Washington, DC area, including the American Hellenic Institute (AHI).
The program for the event includes greetings by Committee Greece 2021 President Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, Ambassador of Greece to United States Alexandra Papadopoulou, and His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.
Keynote Speaker for the event is historian and broadcaster Michael Wood who will discuss “The Legacy of Greece: Reflections on the 200th Anniversary of the Greek War of Independence.”
The program will conclude with a short musical performance.
