President Anastasiades Briefs PM Mitsotakis on Charles Michel's Visit to Nicosia

NICOSIA -- Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades on Wednesday spoke on the phone with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who reiterated Greece's steadfast support for Cyprus. The two leaders exchanged views on the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and agreed on the common line they will follow at the imminent EU Summit on September 24 and 25 in Brussels.

Mitsotakis repeated Greece's unswerving support for Cyprus in the face of Turkish threats against it, while the president of Cyprus briefed the Greek prime minister on his meeting on Wednesday morning with European Council President Charles Michel and the fact that on Thursday he is due to speak on the phone with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and with the Prime Minister of Italy, Giuseppe Conte.
