NICOSIA --"Turkey chooses again the way of unilateral illegal actions turning its back to the dialogue prospect according to the international law and the principles of good neighourly relations" stated Foreign Minister of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides to Athens-Macedonian News Agency on Tuesday.

Asked on the Turkish activities inside the Greek continental shelf and also in part of Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Zone in the last days, Christodoulides said that "Turkey's illegal seismic researches in a sea region engaged by an illegal NAVTEX which extends to the Greek continental shelf and in part of Cyprus' EEZ constitute serious violation of Greece and Cyprus' sovereign rights. These actions in combination with the intense militarisation of the region that Ankara is promoting set at risk the stability and the security in the Eastern Mediterranean".
