Cyprus President Anastasiades to Have Contacts in Athens on Tuesday

ATHENS — The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, will have a series of meetings in Athens on Tuesday.

Specifically, at 10:15 Anastasiades will have a meeting with the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, which will be her first meeting with a foreign head of state since taking office.

At 11:00 he will meet Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Mansion and immediately afterwards the Cypriot delegation will attend talks with the respective delegation from Greece.

As the contacts are taking place one day after the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels, the FAC's conclusions will be part of the discussion, as well as Turkish provocations in the Eastern Mediterranean, Euro-Turkish relations and bilateral relations between Greece and Cyprus, while there will be coordination in view of the forthcoming European Council, which will take place on July 17 and 18, in Brussels.

At 18:00, Anastasiades will have a meeting with the leader of main opposition SYRIZA Alexis Tsipras.
