ATHENS -- The island of Andros is to host an exhibition celebrating the 40-year career of the Greek comics artist known only by his pen name, Arkas. The exhibition entitled "With clever humour as the antidote" will be held at the Petros and Marika Kydonieus Foundation between August 1 and September 27.

It will feature 185 enlarged and precise reproductions of most of the artists' albums, including from books that are now out of print, as well as original, hand-crafted works dating to the period before Arkas started using digital technology.

Another section of the exhibition will be devoted to the coronavirus pandemic, on which the artist has published cartoons daily.
