Cruise Ship “Mein Schiff 6” Docks at Corfu

ATHENS — Τhe cruise ship "Mein Schiff 6" with 922 passengers and 666 crew members on board docked at the port of Corfu on Friday. The ship started its seven-day cruise from Heraklion, Crete, but was forced to return to Piraeus when rapid tests for Covid-19 returned false positive results for 12 members of the crew.

As it turned out, however, repeat covid tests carried out by a National Public Health Organisation team showed that none of the 12 members of the cruise ship's crew were actually infected with coronavirus and the ship continued its voyage without any problems.

Its passengers are already on the island on a guided tour, while the "Mein Schiff 6" is expected to leave Corfu at around 17:00.
