Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
UPPER DARBY, PA – The four-day Greek Festival at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Upper Darby, PA, took place May 16-21 this year. The annual festival provides the opportunity for Greek-Americans and philhellenes to enjoy Greek hospitality, taste Greek food, and enjoy Greek music and dancing.
Traditional Greek dances were performed by the youth of the community and dance groups from other communities as well this year, entertaining the thousands of visitors during the four days.
St. Demetrios Parish Council President Michael Economou and Festival Chairman Spiros Koulas thanked everyone, young and old, who helped tirelessly during the entire festival.
