Crocs to Rock Cyprus’ World?

The Committee on the Environment of the Cypriot Parliament debated plans for a crocodile park in Tochi-Psematismenos in the Larnaca district. The proposal, which was submitted by businessmen from Cyprus and Israel, was discussed on September 24.

The park would require 1002 Nile crocodiles to be brought from Israel to Cyprus and local authorities do not like the idea.

“The authorities express their concern that the proposal has noting to do with opening a theme park which people can visit but a slaughter, packaging and tanning farm,” the Cyprus New Agency reported.
