COVID Restrictions to Be Lifted as Summer Approaches, Plevris Says

ATHENS – As the summer approaches, the government wants to lift Covid-19 restrictions, Health Minister Thanos Plevris said on Friday in Thessaloniki, where he participated in the events to mark the March 25 national holiday as a representative of the government.

He clarified that this would be a dynamic process, which would vary depending on the progress of the pandemic, while noting that a series of measures will be lifted by Easter.

Asked about the new anti-viral pills against the novel coronavirus, he said this prevention and vaccines remained the main defence against the virus, protecting against serious illness and hospital admissions.
