Cooperation between Greece and France Dominated Meeting between Dendias, Le Drian

PARIS — Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias met with his French counterpart Jean Yves Le Drian in Paris on Monday.

The multi-level cooperation between Greece and France and the developments in the Mediterranean dominated the meeting between Dendias and Le Drian, the foreign ministry posted on Twitter.

Dendias and Le Drian will then both join a video conference with the EU Foreign Affairs Council.

The foreign ministers of the EU member states also scheduled to discuss the issue of Turkish provocative actions in the Aegean and the southeastern Mediterranean.

Finally, the foreign affairs ministers will discuss preparatory work ahead of the Partnership Conference for Sudan, which will take place on June 25.


BRUSSELS - After an initial timid response of support for Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis over Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s vow not to talk to him again, the European Commission has taken a stronger stance.
