Constantine Cassis AHEPA Chapter 170 Moves Forward

HEMPSTEAD, NY – Constantine Cassis AHEPA Chapter 170 held a monthly meeting on September 23 virtually via GoToMeeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The chapter is part of the Hempstead AHEPA Family including Daughters of Penelope Pasithea Chapter 141, Sons of Pericles Lord Byron Chapter 233, and Maids of Athena Victory Chapter 76. They discussed the $10,000 donation to the new Parish Life Center at the Cathedral of Saint Paul and the $4,000 donation to the new site of Saint Michael’s Home in nearby Uniondale, NY.

In addition, there will be an upcoming lecture by Cassis Chapter 170 Director of Hellenism Brother Christos Vretzakis. The topic will be the 2,500 year anniversary of the Battle of Thermopylae. Also, the Constantine and Carol Cassis Scholarship award recipients for this past year were acknowledged. In attendance were District 6 Secretary Chris Pappis and Past District 6 Governor Demi Pamboukes. The unanimously re-elected officers for 2020-2021 are President Anastasios Stampolis, Vice President Jim Ginis, Secretary Anton Skrivanek, and Treasurer Billy Demas.
