ASTORIA – The Hermes AHEPA Chapter 186 in Astoria held its first official meeting of the new year at St. Catherine and St. George Greek Orthodox Church on September 21 with President Billy Chrissochos, Vice President Peter Argyropoulos, Secretary Louis Kokalis, and Treasurer Iggy Terranova.

The Chapter was honored to have the new AHEPA District 6 Governor Dean Moskos with them, as well as Past District Governor (PDG) Demi Pamboukes. Their own PDG Brother Demetrius Alexander was also present.

The Chapter wished all its new members a hearty AHEPA welcome and congratulations to their own chapter member George Zouvelos on his new position as District 6 Secretary. Chrissochos now also serves as Director of Hellenism for the entire district as well.

The Chapter discussed some initiatives for possible ways to help our community and its most vital component, the St. Demetrios School, and also discussed the planning of new member initiations to take place in November, new business and culture lectures, and fun networking events!
