ATHENS – During the holidays, the Megaro Athens Concert Hall and the cultural organization Lykofos bring the magic of Christmas to your screens, with a festive performance and a glamorous cast of protagonists in Christmas at the Megaro with the Tales of Hans Christian Andersen. Maria Nafpliotou, Nikos Kouris, Lena Papaligoura, and George Nanouris bring to life, to the sounds of classical music from the Camerata – Orchestra of Friends of Music, the beloved fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen, exclusively for two performances in online streaming from the Christos Lambrakis Hall. The show December 26, 27, and 28, will be screening from 12-10 PM. This show for the whole family is adapted and directed by George Nanouris.
Christmas at the Megaro with the Tales of Hans Christian Andersen includes the musical versions of the well-known tales The Little Match Girl, The Red Shoes, The Princess and the Pea, The Wooden Soldier, The Magic Chest, The Snowman, and The Christmas Tree.
These beloved tales, adapted and directed by George Nanouris, are united in a delightful story and come to life on the stage of the Concert Hall, combining the magic of theater with classical music by the Musicians of the Camerata – Orchestra of the Friends of Music, conducted by Panagiotis Vlachos.
The heroes of Hans Christian Andersen come out of their fairy tales for a while and meet in this family-friendly show, transporting us to the magic of Christmas, while also reminding us of forgotten values.
