Christmas at Ellinikon Experience Park Kicks Off with Lighting of Holiday Lights on December 9

ATHENS – The illumination of the Ellinikon Experience Park on December 9 at 19:00 will signal the start of the park’s Christmas holiday programme.

The Ellinikon Experience Park opened its doors roughly one year ago and has already had over one million visitors, while it is the first section of the largest coastal park at an international level, which was handed over to the public in the context of the urban restoration by Lamda Development, which is now in full progress.

According to an announcement, the opening night will start at the fountain with a show including music, dance and fantasy. The light will turn the park into a spectacular, magical landscape where blue and the purple light will prevail. An impressive light show will create magical pictures and drawings in Square A and illuminate the Christmas Tree. The Attica sky will be filled with colours in a spectacular show of ecological fireworks that will cover the sky with colours.

These holidays at the Experience Park will be different, with many surprises and happenings every single day of the holidays, interactive activities and food stalls set up around the Christmas tree.

The energy demanded to light the low-energy LED Christmas lights will be supplied by renewable energy sources, the same announcement said.

ATHENS - Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomed the amendment tabled in parliament on Thursday about blocking convicted criminals from running in elections as formal or shadow heads of political party formations.
