Celestyal Cruises Partners with AtmosAir Solutions for Most Advanced Air Purification

ATHENS – Celestyal Cruises,  the award-winning, number one choice for cruise travelers to the Greek Islands and the Eastern Mediterranean, on July 14 announced a strategic partnership with AtmosAir Solutions, an indoor air purification company that provides clean, green indoor air technology for the hospitality and travel industry. Through this partnership, Celestyal has further enhanced its already in place strict health and safety protocol by upgrading its shipboard HVAC continuous air purification system, which currently utilizes 100 percent outdoor fresh air, with no indoor air recirculation, as well as its HEPA filtration system in onboard medical facilities. Celestyal’s HVAC systems has already employed AtmosAir’s latest BPI [bi-polar ionization] technology, which improves guest and crew wellness by suppressing airborne and surface micro-organisms and pathogens, including viruses, bacteria and mold, and reduces odors as well as unhealthy and irritating volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The BPI technology is also effective in minimizing the spread of coronavirus in the air and on surfaces.

Tests performed by Microchem Laboratory, one of the world’s preeminent laboratories for testing sanitizing products registered by the EPA and FDA, confirmed that the presence of coronavirus was reduced by 99.92 percent in a contained space within 30 minutes of exposure to AtmosAir Solutions BPI technology. AtmosAir’s patented bi-polar ionization (BPI) technology improves wellness, makes cruise ships more sustainable, reduces their operational costs and its proven air purification process is a continuous disinfectant, removing airborne and surface contaminants from indoor spaces.

“The health and safety of our guests, crew and the communities we serve is our top priority. We continue to enhance our measures to ensure increased health security for all our guests and onboard crew. AtmosAir’s proven all-natural bi-polar ionization technology is yet another layer of protection that we are providing to give everyone an additional level of comfort and safety,” said Celestyal Cruises’ CEO, Chris Theophilides.

“We are proud to partner with Celestyal Cruises," said Steve Levine, President & CEO of AtmosAir Solutions. "Safety and wellness will be key to regaining confidence in the entire cruise industry. Our indoor air purification technology adds a significant layer of protection, giving Celestyal customers confidence in the air they breathe.”
