Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ALBANY, NY — On February 24, the New York Capital Region AHEPA which is Albany AHEPA Chapter 140, Schenectady AHEPA Chapter 125, and Troy AHEPA Chapter 306 was presented with the 2021 Community Partner Award from the Northeastern New York Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation. This award is given to an organization or volunteer group that supports the mission above and beyond.
The mission is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives by funding research and drug development, partnering with the CF community, and advancing high-quality, specialized care.
The Capital Region made a generous donation of $5,000 from the 2nd Annual The Eleftheria Capital Region AHEPA Golf Outing on August 11, 2021 at Normanside Country Club in Delmar, NY.
Award winners will be celebrated during the 2022 Chapter Annual Meeting on March 2, along with the 2020 volunteer award winners who were not able to be recognized last year. This year’s annual meeting will be a virtual evening. Planning is already underway for the 3rd Annual Capital Region AHEPA Golf Outing to be held on June 15.
